Positive Reception for 107 E. Main Project
JSA's presentation of a new mixed used project at 107 E. Main was received with overwhelming support at the Carrboro Joint Boards meeting in May. We are excited to move forward with the first project of its kind in the heart of Carrboro.
The building proposed would be a four-story structure, with retail space on the street level facing Main and Weaver Streets, and apartments on levels two through four. The primary goal of the street level retail is to continue the commercial fabric of the historic 100 block and be very open to pedestrian traffic on both Weaver and Main streets.
We believe this building embodies the very spirit of the Town of Carrboro’s Downtown Visioning and long-range planning goals. It is responsible infill redevelopment, with a small footprint and impact on infrastructure while providing space for new downtown residents and commercial use.
